Obituary for Ruthanne Bernstein
With much sadness we share that Ruthanne Bernstein, 84, passed away peacefully February 7, 2026. Ruthanne was born in Teaneck, New Jersey and spent her later years in Oviedo and Winter Springs, Florida.
She is survived by her four children Sherry Simkins (Paul), Laurie Bernstein, Gary Bernstein (Amanda) and Sharon Bernstein; her seven grandchildren, Melissa, Charlie, Liza, Jocelyn, Jasmine, Jaden, Maxxie; she is also survived by her sister, Betty Jane Bray and her nephews, Edmund James Bray III and Scott Bray. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bernstein; her son, Mark Bernstein; her parents, Ruth Virginia and Wesley Morrow; and her brother-in-law, Edmund James Bray Jr. She is also lovingly remembered by her cousins and their children, along with many cherished friends.
Ruth was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She will be remembered for her kindness, strength, warm heart, and the love she shared with her family and everyone who knew her.
