Sarah E. Faughnan , 53 of Winter Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at her home in Winter Springs. She was born August 18, 1961 in Battle Creek, MI. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Ronald Backman and Carol L. Handley. Mrs. Faughnan has left behind her Husband: Patrick D. Faughnan Mother: Carol L. Handley, Two Brothers: Philip P. Backman and Timothy W. Curry. She was a proud graduate of Albion College, where she joined Kappa Delta sorority. She was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church where she taught Special Sacrements for 20 years. Approximately 100 young Catholics attended her class. She worked for Lorillard Tobacco Company for 30 years in positions of increasing reponsibility, most recently serving as Territory Manager. She loved her job describing it as the opportunity to drive around town visiting her friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen Catholic Church on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM with Father John J. Bluett and Father George Dunne, s.s.s. as Celebrant. There will be a reception in the enrichment center at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
