Obituary for Sergio Bernardi
Sergio Bernardi, 79, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on January 22, 2026.
Sergio Bernardi was born in Ripi, Frosinone, Italy, on October 1, 1946, to the late Anita and Armando Bernardi. When Sergio was in his early teens, his father immigrated to Montreal, Canada, and worked hard to bring the family from Italy to join him. They later settled in the Bronx, New York; Sergio met his wife, Judy, where their backyards connected.
Sergio began his career in the airline industry in 1969. In 1985, he moved with his family from New York to Florida, where he continued building a life rooted in love and hard work. He cherished his wife and family, and found joy in carpentry, fixing things, tending to plants with his “green thumb,” exploring tech gadgets, and listening to music, all kinds, but especially loved Italian music.
Sergio is survived by his wife, Judy, of 54 years and his children, Lisa Pleskach (Mike), Krisy Kurz (Brian), Mandy Bernardi, siblings Frank Bernardi and Antoinette LaPiana and 5 grandchildren.
A mass will be held at Mary, Mother of God Chapel San Pedro Center on Friday, February 13th at 10:15am.
