On June 22, 2023, Stephanie Schwartzberg passed away suddenly after a heroic battle with difficult autoimmune issues and myeloma.
She was born on November 5, 1965 in Seattle Washington.
The family moved around before settling in southwest Florida where Stephanie attended high school. Known for her academic excellence and passion for sports, she excelled in the classroom and on the field as a talented multisport athlete. It was during these formative years that Stephanie nurtured her aspirations of becoming a nurse. She pursued this dream with unwavering determination.
After earning her nursing degree, Stephanie embarked on a fulfilling career as a critical care nurse at several prominent hospitals including Orlando Regional Medical Center. Her peers regarded her as an exceptional nurse. She eventually assumed leadership roles within the critical care nursing field. Stephanie found immense fulfillment in her profession dedicating herself to caring for others during their most vulnerable moments.
During her time in Orlando, Stephanie path crossed with her soulmate, Randy Schwartzberg, at the hospital where they both worked. They married in 2003 and were blessed with two incredible sons, Brady and Brock. Stephanie’s deep love and commitment to her family led her to transition from her nursing career to become a devoted homemaker focusing on raising her two boys and creating a nurturing environment filled with love and support.
In addition to attending countless baseball games and travel baseball tournaments, Stephanie became an accomplished tennis player and coached a national championship women’s tennis team. Stephanie’s philanthropic spirit showed brightly when her son Brock was diagnosed with type one diabetes. She tirelessly dedicated her time to organizations like JDRF actively participating in committees advocating for diabetes research and support.
As her boys entered their teenage years, Stephanie faced profound challenges battling a rare progressive autoimmune disease and later myeloma. Despite the immense difficulties she faced, Stephanie’s determination to witness the achievements of her beloved sons never wavered. Her tenacity, courage and unwavering love for her family were a testament to her character.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband (Randy), her sons (Brady and Brock), her mom (Shirley Ott), her sister (Stacy Canet), her brother (Randy Ott), her nephews (Tristan Kamp and Ryan Meinke). Stephanie was preceded in death by her father (Melvyn Ott). Her memory will be forever treasured by extended family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on July 1, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Tuscawilla Country Club in Winter Springs. We will gather to honor her remarkable journey and her indelible impact on our lives.
