Obituary for Sylvia L. Moch
Sylvia L. Moch (66) passed away late evening of December 15, 2021, peacefully at the Hospital, located in Oviedo, FL. Sylvia had been an ICU patient 76 days, for 60 days she was heavily sedated and unable to communicate with anyone. Her husband Tom and Pastor Gerry Heskett were the only authorized visitors Sylvia received.

Tom called Sylvia’s best friends, niece as well as their children (Tommy, DeAnna and Melisa), grandchildren (Brandon, Mason, Tyler) and great granddaughter (Autumn “Papoo”) on speaker phone routinely and would then hold cellphone close to Sylvia’s ear so she could listen to them. He kept a journal with copious daily updates of doctor(s) meetings reviewing x-rays, blood labs, medications, as well as bodily vital statistics. There are chronological post on his Facebook page (Tommy Moch) as well as Unconditional Love and Prayer, a page Tom founded and is administrator. Tom completely dedicated the past three months to Sylvia, working tirelessly to research possible medical options to heal her lungs from severe unrecoverable ARDS and manage Sylvia’s care and treatment.

Tom, (Sylvia’s husband of 47 years) and Sylvia began dating 51 years ago. They initially met in 7th grade, homeroom class, at Stonewall Jackson Jr. High, located in Orlando, FL, during September 1967. They graduated together from Colonial High School, Class of 1973 and married December 1, 1974. Their son Tommy was born September 30, 1975 and shortly after Tom and Sylvia build their first home of fourteen years, located in Chickasaw Woods, Orlando, FL. Melisa, their daughter, was born in 1977. Tom and Sylvia built their second home in King’s Cove, Winter Park, FL and moved in on October 31, 1989. The property remains current residence of the Moch family, however, Tom and Sylvia’s plans to downsize, and relocate in early 2022 will not happen together but will happen.

Sylvia is survived by her husband Tom, their (2) children, (3) grandsons, (1) great granddaughter and Sylvia’s mother Aloisia McFarland. Sylvia was predeceased by older brothers Bill and John McFarland, Charles W. McFarland, (father), Diana McFarland, (younger sister) and James McFarland, (younger brother).

Sylvia was a most wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, Cousin and Niece. She was an Active Participating Christian with a beautiful heart for Jesus. She never consumed alcohol, smoked tobacco or consumed any illegal recreational substances. She was a one man woman, truly a unique one-of-a-kind earth angel. Sylvia was the spiritual rock of our family and possessed all the gifts of the spirit; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control as well as peacemaker. Her gentle loving spirit and kindness which graced our family is now in heaven.

Rest in peace sweet, beautiful Sylvia, you lived a meaningful Christ-like servant’s life and will remain in our hearts forever.

Well done our Good and Faithful Servant.
