Obituary for Thelma Miller
Thelma Moody Miller also known affectionately as, “Muga,” was our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Relative, Friend, & Neighbor.
“Muga” was a fourth generation Floridian & grew up in Green Cove Springs and moved to Seminole County FL in 1961. Thelma graduated from Clay High School, went to Massey Business School in Jacksonville, & followed a career as a stenographer with the Clay County court system. Later she worked in the finance department at the City of Altamonte Springs and retired after 23 years of service.
Muga leaves behind: Daughters: Sally Miller Hicks of New Smyrna Beach, Laura Leigh (Miller) Wood, (Chuck Rudis) of Winter Springs; Sons: Karl Miller (Candace) of Orlando, & Ernest Miller (Betty) of Pisgah Falls, NC. Grandchildren: Douglas Hicks, (Lisa) Edgewater; Eric Miller, Winter Springs; Thomas Saunders, Winter Springs, Elliott Wood (Natalie) Marietta, GA, Melanie Miller (Kate Melton) of Los Angeles, CA. Great-Grandchildren: Devyn Hicks, Edgewater & Riker Miller, Winter Springs.
"Muga" lived a full and amazing life. She dazzled everyone with her piano skills, made her family laugh, and enjoyed every moment of her time with us. She leaves behind a family and community that will miss her dearly.
