Mader, Theodore J (Ted). Funeral services for Ted of Winter Springs, Fl who passed away Tuesday March 27, 2012 will be held Friday March 30th, at St Stephen Catholic Community, 575 Tuskawilla Road, Winter Springs , Fl. 32708 at 2 pm. Ted is survived by his wife of 57 years Trudy Mader. Together they had three sons Don, Ted and Michael Mader and a daughter Jennifer Held. There are seven grandchildren Noelle, Kristen, Megan, Wesley, Jordyn, Olivia and Erin, each special to him in different ways. Ted worked his way into the Optical Engineering Field in the Netherlands, then was invited to work in Canada by Aviation Electric. From there the family moved to CT and Ted worked for Perkin Elmer on various projects like the Hubbell Space Telescope and Project Hexagon. He then moved to Florida in 1987 working Martin Marietta, then retired, went back to school and became a certified Horologist. Word of mouth brought many old clocks to fix. Ted will be missed and was loved by his family and friends.
