Obituary for Theresa D. Salatto
Theresa Dorothy Salatto, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on July 20, 2024 at the age of 96. She was surrounded with the love of her children who were all able to be with her during her final days.
Born on June 26, 1928 to John Patrick Burns and Anna Loretta Hayes in Floral Park, NY, Theresa was the youngest of four children. In 1948, Theresa met the love of her life, Arthur Anthony Salatto, at her sister Eileen’s wedding. Arthur was the older brother to Eileen’s husband, John. Theresa and Arthur married on October 7, 1950, and moved to Hicksville, NY where they raised their four children. In 1992, they both retired to Florida and resided in Winter Springs.
She is survived by daughter Kathleen Haeselin and her husband Joseph of Eaton's Neck, NY, daughter Donna Seal (predeceased husband Thomas) of Winter Springs, son Arthur (predeceased wife Lynn Catanese) of Oxford, PA, son Michael and his wife Tina of Portland, OR; six grandchildren, Amy Fox and her husband Ted, Matthew and his wife Ashley, Adam Haeselin, Patrick Seal and his wife Amber, Kara Haeselin and Lucille Salatto; two great-grandchildren, Abbie and Maddie Fox. She was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
The family will have a private interment.
