Timothy Reid Brooklyn

April 10, 1954 – September 30, 2023

Timothy Reid Brooklyn of Paisley, FL, passed away peacefully with his beloved family by his side on Saturday, September 30th, 2023, at the age of 69. Late that evening, the clouds lifted, and he was ushered to heaven.

Tim and Lesia married in 1976 and resided in Lake Mary, FL for many years. In 2000, they moved to Paisley, Florida, which they have called home since.

Tim, the middle child of six children was born on April 10, 1954, to Ernest “Ted” Theodore Brooklyn and Ella Jean Brooklyn in Sanford, Florida. In his early jobs, he worked at HarCar Aluminum Window Manufacturer for 20 years; starting as a line worker, running a crew as a supervisor, and then later becoming plant manager. In 1989, Tim started and opened Tim’s Window and Door Installation. He continued this journey for many years. Ultimately, ending his working days as a valid hunter.

In short, Tim was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, brother, and son. Many knew him as Tim, but dear family knew him as our “Gaggy” or “Timbo”. He was committed to providing for his family. His passion was hunting and fishing. Tim was a member of the Yankee Lake Hunt Club, where he enjoyed spending time with his hunting buddies, and the joy of hearing his dog’s running deer. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, watching the kids running around, shooting clay-pigeons, and many cookouts- just hanging out. Gaggy was a big kid during the holidays, he expected the Easter Bunny to bring his basket full of goodies and dyed eggs. When Thanksgiving came around, he would make sure he got his honey-baked ham, and during Christmas, you better forget about it if you didn’t bring Gaggy a stocking full of gifts!

His canine companions were dear to him. His best companion, Banjo, has stayed behind with Lesia, but Diesel, Coco, and Tebow are on a long walk with him now.

Family Who Went Before

Tim was predeceased in death by his father, Ernest “Ted” Theodore Brooklyn, mother, Ella Jean (Boteler) Brooklyn, sisters, Trudy Jimenez, and Teddi Dovan and niece, Lendi (Mcintosh) Caswell.

Family He Left Behind

He is survived by his wonderful wife of 47 years, Lesia (Jimenez) Brooklyn.

He is also survived by his two children, their spouses, eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. They include his daughter Tiffany Dianne Brooklyn and son Daniel Reid Brooklyn (Maria), grandsons Tyson Reid Brooklyn, Trent Reid Brooklyn, and Brandon Riley Brooklyn, granddaughters Cecily Nicole Crowley (Shane), Cierra Lajoy Joyner (Brandon “BJ”), Caitlin Mckenzie Roby, Delaney Lynn Johnson, and Braelynn Makenna Mae Mcelravy, great-grandsons Waylon Holt Crowley, Wyatt Hudson Crowley, and Reid Allen Joyner, and great-granddaughters Paisleigh Jade Crowley and Presley Jolene Crowley.

As mentioned, Tim is the middle child of six children. He leaves behind two siblings, Suzan Mcintosh and Pamela Griffin, their spouses, and nieces and nephews.

As each day passes, we will continue to miss you dearly and love you very much. We will carry on your legacy and hope that each of us makes you proud. Until we meet again!
