Our beloved, Tito Guillermo Cruz’s, journey on earth has come to a gentle close after a valiant fight against cancer. He returned with Jesus at the young age of 62 on July 4th, 2025. In his final days, he was surrounded by his family at his home in Casselberry, Florida. He was preceded in death by his Father, Tito Cruz, and his brother Elliot Cruz. He is survived by his mother, Elena Gonzalez, his wife, Raquel Cruz, his children, Omayra Cruz, Luis Cruz, Paula (Joe) Bench, Margarita (Patrick) Milbourne, Crystal (Andres) Hinojosa, Selena (Jonathan) Corvo, his siblings, Helen (Edwin) Rios, Javier (Madeline) Cruz, Lisa Valouveas, Nancy Cruz, Brenda (Wesley) Cruz-Fletcher, Tito Cruz, and Lillinette Cruz, and 14 grandchildren.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, strength, hard work, and laughter. He worked to instill these values in those fortunate enough to know him.
As a husband, father, grandfather and friend, he guided us with wisdom, patience, and unwavering support. His presence brought joy and light to every gathering, and his optimism and faith in the goodness of people never wavered, even in difficult times.
Though his physical presence is gone, his influence endures in our choices, our kindness, and the love we share. When we remember him, it's hard not to smile at the thought of his quick wit and his ability to make a room smile with a dad joke or playful tease, even in tough moments.
Pop Pop, as he preferred to be called by his grandchildren, provided unconditional love to his grandchildren. He was their guidance, protector, teacher, and had a way of making them say “Pop Pop” with his humor.
As we say goodbye, we honor his memory not just in words, but by living with integrity, generosity, and hope. May his soul rest in peace, and may we find comfort in the enduring power of love.
We will celebrate his life at 2pm on Saturday, July 19th, 2025, at Banfield Funeral Home & Crematory located at 420 West State Road 434, Winter Springs, FL, 32708.
