It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vaughn Gould, at the age of 65 after a brave fight against cancer. Vaughn was born in New York, lived in Connecticut as a child before moving to Central Florida in 1970. He is survived by his mother, Janet Gould-Spence and lifetime love and Fiance’ Joni Morgan. He is preceded in death by his father, Bertram (Bert) Gould and beloved grandparents whom he loved and spent childhood vacations with.
Vaughn graduated from Lyman High School and attended Seminole Community College before joining his family’s businesses; Vaughn Motors, Yamaha of Seminole and Orlando, and Two Guys Tires before retiring. He had a love for Moto-X racing, and won the Florida Open Amateur Class Championship in 1979. Through the years Vaughn had many interests and passions which included working out with friends, running 5K/10K and half marathons in local races, riding motorcycles and off-road vehicles with friends. Vaughn was always competitive in a friendly way, and he sure did love his fast cars! His competitive nature also earned him a black belt in Karate. Vaughn loved to spend time with his family and friends and always had a generous nature. One of his favorite quotes - “He who hesitates has lost”
Vaughn had a gentle heart for all animals, especially the many dogs in his life. He would even save the turtles in the road to ensure they wouldn't be hit by a car. However, had a special place in his heart for his 6.5lb Chi-Chi, Pixi whom he’d take everywhere, which was so adorable! He even spent his final hours with Pixi curled up next to him giving him lots of kisses.
In his final years he was helping Joni care for her elderly mother so she could live out her final years at home which was hard but he did it for Joni and she is forever grateful.
Vaughn will be missed everyday by those that loved him, and we know that Heaven has gained another Angel. We are grateful for Tara and Kaylie for all they did while he was in the fight for his life.
