Obituary for William “Bill” J. Weatherby Jr.
William “Bill” J. Weatherby Jr. 74 passed away peacefully at the memory care residence of Savannah Cottage in Oviedo, FL on October 24, 2018. He was born on March 10, 1944 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to William and Mary Weatherby. Bill spent his youth and some of his adult years in Massachusetts. He served in the U. S. Navy and was stationed in Boston, Massachusetts, during the Vietnam War. Bill married his devoted wife on June 28, 1969, and they had three children. They lived in Massachusetts and then moved to Florida in 1980. Bill graduated from Dalbec Barber College in Boston before joining the military and owned or worked at shops as a barber stylist for several years and continued to have the same customers in both Massachusetts and Florida. He retired after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Bill enjoyed building muscle cars and drag racing with his son. He had an amazing appetite, loved family dinners, and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, ice hockey, and martial arts.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Carol of 49 years; his son Brian Weatherby; his daughters Stacey Elliott and Tara Crawford; his grandchildren Katy Weatherby, Avery Weatherby, and Logan Crawford; his sisters Geraldine Striglio, Karen Romano, and Sheila McMahon; his nieces Kendra Sprunk, Christine Martinez, Laurie Niosi, and Katarina Bennett; his nephews Peter Romano Jr., Daryl Sprunk, Jared Sprunk, and Stephen Niosi.
Memorial contributions can be sent to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.

A memorial service will be celebrated Friday, November 2nd, 6:30 pm at Banfield Funeral Home. Friends may gather at the funeral home Friday, starting at 5:00pm.
