Obituary for William "Bill" Triplett
William R. Triplett “Bill,” 61, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, December 24, 2025, in Winter Springs, FL. He was born on March 3, 1964, in Buford, Georgia, and was the son of the late David R. Triplett and Doris Knott Triplett.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sonia V. Triplett; his five children: Billy (Jackie), Vanessa, Pamela Christina (Joe), Melinda Sue “Mindy,” and David (Brittany); his 15 grandchildren: Jason (Katherine), Skyler, Taylor, Dylan, Hailey (Jonathan), Brooke, Brian, Landon, Mason, Reo, Kyleigh, Damian, K.J., Sophia, and Grace; and his two great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Kensley. He had been eagerly looking forward to meeting his new granddaughter, due in February.
Bill lived his entire life for Sonia, his children, and all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He would have given the shirt off his back to anyone in need. Those who knew Bill could always expect something smart to come out of his mouth. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing with his family. He will be fondly remembered by many as “Big Bill” during the day and “Sweet William” at night.
Funeral services will be held at Banfield Funeral Home, 420 State Road 434, Winter Springs, FL 32708, on Tuesday, December 30, 2025. Viewing for family and friends will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by services at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Eddie Rivera of Action Church and Pastor Buddy Kelley of The Foundry Church.
The family will also remember and celebrate the life of Bill at The Foundry Church, 1491 E. State Road 434, Winter Springs, FL 32708, with food and refreshments.
