Obituary for William F Hinkel
William (Bill) Frank Hinkel ETCM US Navy retired passed away April 14, 2022 peacefully at his home in Winter Springs, Fl after a long illness. He was born on March 23, 1947 in Shenandoah, PA. Bill joined the Navy at the tender age of 17 and proudly served the US Navy for 22 years. After retirement he opened a small home business, designing and building electronic illusions. Bill was a caring husband, father, and friend. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his wife Evelyn L Foucher Hinkel, daughters Christine Ivey (John), Lisa Lewis (Brandon), as well as grandchildren Cody Griffin, Courtney Blevins, Bethany Lull, Jonathan Lewis Jr, and great granddaughters Lilly and Emmy Blevins. Also survived by brothers Earl Hinkel, Robert Hinkel, Richard Hinkel, John Hinkel and sister Margaret Kropp. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Earl Harold Hinkel and Mary Ruth Spaar Hinkel. Internment will be held at a later date at the Bushnell National Cemetery, Bushnell, Sumter County, FL.
