Obituary for William Lonzo Davis

William Lonzo Davis, 78, of Winter Park, FL, passed away on October 10, 2023 in Sanford, FL. He was born on May 5, 1945 in Winter Park, FL. William was a dedicated and hard worker as well as a very caring father and loving husband. Even through a rough and gruff outward persona, he had a very kind heart and loved to help people in any way he could if he believed it would help them become a better and successful person.

He is survived by his children, Cheyenne Davis, Timothy Davis, and Christopher Davis; and stepchildren, Kristin Davis, Almyrrh Dominic Duarte, Florianne Mae Duarte, and Alfredo Duarte Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wives Miraflores Duarte Davis and Karen Johnson Davis, and his son Richard Wayne Davis.

William served aboy 3 years in the Navy as a Cadet Engineer (Water Transportation) and was proud of his military associations. Throughout his career, William enlisted in the Navy, became a steel worker, started his own steel erection business, and finally worked in IT for Seminole Community/State College. He worshipped at Life Connections Church (LCC) and found solace and community there, and he loved every member he met as his own. In his free time, William enjoyed gardening, lawn care, watching movies, and just engaging in general conversation and humor.

A memorial service will be held at Life Connection Church (LCC) at 2550 South Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL, 32822. Contributions in his memory can be made to Life Connection Church.

The funeral arrangements are being handled by Banfield Funeral Home, located at 420 West State Road 434, Winter Springs, FL 32708, United States.
