Elgee Ignatius Broussard of Orlando, Fla., died November 11, 2020, at the age of 83 at AdventHealth Hospital. Born on October 18, 1937, in New Iberia, Louisiana, he was the seventh child to be welcomed by Philogene and Josephine Broussard. He had an infectious laugh, loved to tell jokes and always worked hard. He was an employee of Disney World at Epcot theme park, from which he retired after 23 years of service. In addition to his full-time job, Elgee owned and operated his own successful business, Regency Upholstery.
Elgee was preceded in death by both his parents, Josephine and Philogene Broussard, and his brother, Kelly John Broussard, and a sister, Lovella Broussard Norman.
His children survive him: Melissa B. Kerney, Renee B. Matsusaka, Bronwyn B. Abeyta and Kyle Broussard, all Southern California; and son Devin Broussard of Winter Haven and daughter Jennissha M. Casillas of Maitland, Fla. Five sisters remain: Noella B. Bostick, Minden Louisiana; Mercedese Broussard; Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Doryanne B. Looper, Quartz Hill, California; Doris B. Lazard, Biloxi, Mississippi; Marilyn Broussard, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and Carolyn B. Griffin, Lake Charles, Louisiana.
