Obituary for Linda Nichols Antley
Linda Jean Nichols Antley of Deltona, Florida died April 10, 2021 in Sanford, Florida after a brief illness. She is survived by her husband of thirty years Harry Stroman Antley of Deltona, Florida, son Wyatt Justin King of Deltona, FL, daughter Shon Marie Calloway ne King and son-in-law Dr. Cliff Calloway of Rock Hill, SC, sister Vivian Vivian ne Nichols of Greenwood, SC., grandson, Garrett Calloway of Rock Hill, SC, four step sons and eight step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Virginelle Nichols ne Pearson, brothers Eugene (Gene) Nichols and Tony Nichols, paternal grandparents Vance Hunter and Pearl Georgia Nichols ne Dyer and maternal grandparents James Henry and Elsie Mae Pearson ne White.
Linda was born December 5, 1947 in Anderson, SC. She graduated from T.L. Hanna High School, Anderson, SC in 1966 and graduated from Anderson Business College several years later. Her last employment was with Southern Bank and Trust Company of Greenville, SC and First Union National Bank of Charlotte, N.C. where she worked in the trust and regional credit departments in Greenville, SC office of both banks. In both banks she quickly rose to positions of indispensable problem solver. She retired in 1989.
Linda was an active member of Concord Baptist Church, Anderson, SC from youth until she left Anderson. In Florida, she was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, Debary, Florida where she was a member of the team charged with visiting the infirmed elderly.
Linda loved sailing and sewing and was an avid reader. She was a loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
At her request, after cremation her ashes will be distributed on Tampa Bay.
