Obituary for Chuck Cobb
Charles “Chuck” Leon Cobb, age 35 of Winter Park passed away April 29, 2021 in an automobile accident in Winter Springs Fl. Chuck was born June 25, 1985 in Thomasville, Ga and grew up in Lake City Fl. Chuck loved to fish, hunt, and enjoyed being on the water. His biggest passion was his BBQ. Chuck was the founder of Git-n-Messy BBQ. His creations were featured in the Sentinel, Orlando Weekly, Edible Orlando, Orlando Magazine,and “Live with Kelly & Ryan”. He won several awards including Critics Pick of Best BBQ. During the Covid pandemic, Chuck offered free meals to school aged kids and their familes to help during hard times. Chuck loved his children and step children. He was very proud to be a Dad. He loved taking his kids fishing or swimming like fish themselves.
He is survived by his wife Ashley Cobb, four children Ryan (14), Zachary (13), from North Stonington, Connecticut, McKinleigh (6), and Brayden (1); two step son Dimitrius (13) and Owen (11), from Winter Park. He is also survived by his Mother Mildred Cobb of Lake City, brother Bill Cobb, Lake City Fl; Richard Cobb, West Palm Beach Fl; Romaine Thormodson(Craig), Madelia MN, nieces Gina Watson, Alyssa Thormodson, Sarah Bowers, nephew Will Cobb, great nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his Father William Cobb III.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday May 10, 2021 from 3-5 pm at Banfield Funeral Home & Crematory 420 W State Road 434 Winter Springs Fl
A Memorial Service will be held May 14, 2021 at 2:30 pm at North Lake City Church of God 1746 W US HWY 441.
