Leonard (LC) Johnston Jr., 76, of Casselberry FL passed at home on Thursday December 19, 2024.
He was born in Punxsutawney Pennsylvania on November 28, 1948 to Rose and Leonard Johnston Sr. LC moved to Orlando in his teens, and graduated from Boone High School before attending Valencia Community College. He worked for the U.S. Postal service, becoming Postmaster of the Lake Mary and Sanford locations, and retiring after 35 years of service.
LC met the love of his life, Debi in 1998. While LC was a man of few words, they were all the right ones for Debi, and the two were married in 2000. LC openly welcomed the blended family and was a very active stepfather.
Though LC loved fishing and wood working, his favorite role was that of a Steelers football fan, even naming his first dog Steeler after his beloved team.
LC is survived by his wife of 25 years Deborah Johnston, son Kevin, stepchildren Brittany, Chris (Noelia), and Amber (Shawn), and grandchildren Iam, Tessa, Logan, Skyler, Colby, and Quinn, and his cherished canine companion Axel, who brought endless laughter and loyalty to his life.
The funeral mass will be held at 10:00am on January 11, 2025 at San Pedro Spiritual Development Center located at 95 Bishop Grady Lane Winter Park FL, followed by the interment at the Queen of Angels Cemetery at 1901 Queen of Angels Drive Winter Park FL.
The family would like to thank AdventHealth Hospice Care Central Florida (Altamonte) for their support and attentiveness during such a difficult period.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in LC’s name to the Alzheimer’s Society or ASPCA is greatly appreciated.
