Obituary for Martha "Ginger" Virginia Denton
In loving memory of Martha Virginia Denton “Ginger” who passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019, at 1:30pm in Winter Springs, Florida at the age of 77. Ginger was born in Brunswick, Georgia on December 10, 1941 to Thomas Jackson and Zoie Cathrin Foster. She is preceded in death by her mother and father, her brother, Dickie and sisters, Elsie, Sara, and Linda. She is survived by her daughter Martha Rae Jenkins and son-in-law, John Jenkins; granddaughters, Angela Thibodeaux and husband, Shane Thibodeaux, April Cowdery and husband, Stephen Cowdery, and grandson, Stephen Jenkins; and great-grandchildren Shane Thibodeaux, Collin Thibodeaux and Cora Cowdery; she is also survived by her sister, Peggy. In addition to her career in bookkeeping you could find her at her sewing machine, in a bowling alley, in various theaters, at the beach or traveling in the US and abroad. Ginger is remembered as a sweet, loving mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend…in our hearts forever. A memorial gathering will take place at the home of John and Martha Jenkins on January 25, 2019 at 2:00pm. The family extends genuine gratitude to the staff at The Watermark at Vistawilla and Hospice of the Comforter for their support and dedication to Ginger in her last weeks.
