In Loving Memory of Brian Stephen Hoenig
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Brian Stephen Hoenig, beloved husband, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend who passed away on May 8, 2025, after a courageous and hard-fought battle with cancer. He was 57 years old.
Brian faced his illness with strength and unwavering hope, never letting it define his spirit. His resilience, grace, and courage through the most difficult times were a testament to the man he was – kind, compassionate, and deeply devoted to his wife.
He leaves behind a loving wife, Patricia Hoenig, who stood by his side through every step of the journey. Their love was a true partnership, built on commitment, laughter, and loyalty. He is also survived by his mother, Regina Kane Hoenig; sister, Marybeth Salisbury (husband William Salisbury); niece Kayla Nasca; nephews Michael Nasca (wife Kennedy Nasca), Tyler Salisbury and Connor Salisbury. He was predeceased by his father, Richard Thomas Hoenig, and his brothers, Richard Hoenig II and Jeffrey Hoenig.
Brian will be remembered for his gentle heart, genuine kindness, quick wit, and the way he made everyone around him feel seen and valued. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his love and memory will remain with us always.
A memorial service with internment will be held in Albany, NY at Mater Christi on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 10:30 am. The address is 40 Hopewell Street in Albany, NY. The burial will then be held at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Avenue, Albany, NY. The service in New York will be lived streamed.
